All Analytical Ultracentrifugation Instrument and Data Users,

Beckman-Coulter is offering introductory training on the ProteomeLab XLA/XLI analytical ultracentrifugation. This two and a half day course introduces the students to basic AUC theory, sample preparation, and instrument set-up to support sedimentation equilibration and sedimentation velocity experiments. The raw data will be analyzed using the widely used software packages SEDFIT, SEDNTERP, and GUSSI. A variety of applications will be discussed describing the novel solutions provided by AUC methods. This introductory course is useful for those who want hands-on sample preparation and analyses as well as those who would like a general understanding of the utility and applications of this method. In addition, this course would be valuable to those who do not have an instrument but may need a basic understanding of analytical solutions this technique offers.

This course is led by Dean Clodfelter, who has extensive industrial experience in protein characterization. Dean is eager to instruct you on the use of this instrument which offers unique characterization data.
