Dear  Colleauges,
Sorry boring  you again (since yesterday). 
Actually the (3rd) comment, but  this time mostly  for  membrane-protein interessted.
In a new Journal LAB TIMES 2 -2006 in english, I think  for european only?( the same  publisher who issues 
Laborjournal in  german) is a column " tips and tricks". At the last part (see  attachment) are some remarks for preparative centrifugation, that until  now I never saw explecit commented, I mean for the  case of 
hydrated detergent-micelles  and  complexes.
The use of Vertical-preparative rotors for bouyant density sucrose or CsCl gradiens (is similar to analytical rotor/cell size) helps if the density bands knowladge acieved from  analytical centrifugation for all porposes
not only  in case of membrane-proteins.
