Dear RASMBers:

We are writing to announce the release of HETEROANALYSIS, which is a new
integrated software package designed to facilitate studies of complex
macromolecular interactions by sedimentation equilibrium. The package,
along with an extensive help file, can be downloaded from our facility
website:

http://www.biotech.uconn.edu/auf/?i=aufftp

The helpfile is also available online at the same site.

HETEROANALYSIS incorporates an intuitive graphical user interface and
integrates data loading, editing, analysis and simulation of
sedimentation equilibrium experiments. The editing module is similar to
the earlier WinNonlin program for data trimming and deglitching. The
analysis portion features both single species and a range of self- and
hetero-association fitting models, including models that incorporate
thermodynamic nonideality and incompetent species. The software
accommodates multi-wavelength and multi-signal data and features a
convenient function to "link" data channels. The text and graphical
output are integrated into a logfile that can be output in rich text
format. The data simulation module allows users to create multi-signal
synthetic data for each of the fitting models to aid in experimental
design and to validate fitting procedures. Finally, the loaded data,
fitting parameters, graphs and the log file can be saved to a compressed
experiment file and reloaded at a later time.

HETEROANALYSIS runs under WinXP, Win2000 and Win9X.

We hope you find the program useful.

Jim Cole and Jeff Lary
