dear holger
plasminogen undergoes a large structural change when it binds the ligand,
6-aminohexanoate. the latter is a lysine analogue. the stoke's radius
increases by about 20% on binding. auc has been a favourite tool of people
working on this protein for the last 35 years.
there are several good reviews of the plasminogen literature. if you are
interested, you can easily retrieve my 2000 review in bba 1481: 1-10.
it'a as good a place to start as any. the names to note in the field are
ponting, marshall, christensen, mangel, tranqui, markus, brockway,
castellino and many others.
best regards
