Dear RASMB Interest Group,

The upcoming Reversible Associations in Structural and Molecular Biology
Gordon Research Conference is just a couple of weeks away and there are
still some slots open. Please encourage your colleagues, and especially
students and post-doctoral fellows, to consider attending the meeting.

Additionally, thanks to many generous donations from the conference
benefactors, we should be able to provide about a dozen travel awards for
trainees (students or post-docs in academics, industry or government) to
defray their conference fees and/or travel costs. It is impossible to make
a specific or firm commitment right now, but if things proceed as expected,
we should be able to provide significant support for our students.

If you are a trainee, and wish to be considered for a travel award, please
send an Email message to me (edd at carb.nist.gov) requesting support and a
short justification. Alternatively, if you know of a trainee who has not
considered registering for the meeting because of financial difficulty,
please encourage them to apply and to write to me for some assistance.

I will be away from Email for a few days so if there are any immediate or
pressing questions, please contact the meeting's vice-chair Kip Murphy
(k-murphy at uiowa.edu) or our conference coordinator Dori Bosler
(dori at grc.org). Otherwise, I'll respond to your mail sometime late next week.

Sincerely,

Ed Eisenstein
