Dear all,

this is truly sad news and a loss for the field of
analytical ultracentrifugation in general and especially for colloid and
polymer research.

I will remember Helmut as an insightful and cheerful colleague - it was a
privilege to discuss science with him at various occasions and meetings
across the globe, most memorable to me are the Uppsala, Sweden, and Atami,
Japan, AUC conferences. Thank you, Helmut!
