[RASMB] when to retire a rotor?

Beckman recommends retiring an AUC rotor after 12 years or 6000 runs ( I 
assume they mean after whichever occurs first). Is that standard 
practice among AUC users? Our rotor is 11 years old but has only about 
1000 runs - should we be thinking about replacing it next year?
