[RASMB] 6 sect. cells

Dear collleauges, dear  Roy,
To run  6 sector  cells in the  AUC is  for  several  reasons  a bit a delicate /tricky run. Previius  models tend to  leak between  the  sectors especially at  higher speeds, thatfore  Beckman limited  the rotor speed., (but even then 20% off was  better). Beckman  recomaned to add  the  FC-43
fluid (Flouro - carbo)to obtain a bottom-phase that  produce  a marked "bottom-meniscus, clear  seen  in  any optic  system  used.It is a  good  auxillary methode for   radius  determination, and  helps also to test , if their  was no  leak from an  upper or  lower   sector. At least it is an  instrument to test  leaking  cells, not only the  6-channel one.
Sorry A) I couldn't find  the  reference  of  the right  Beckman  bulletin   publication B)sure   that  FC43 can be  used  only  with  aqueaous  solutions that do not influence the  protein.
