Dear Colleagues,

Updated versions of SEDFIT (version 11.8) and SEDPHAT (version 6.5) have been released. They are available for download at

https://sedfitsedphat.nibib.nih.gov/software/default.aspx
or
(SEDFIT) http://www.analyticalultracentrifugation.com/download.htm
(SEDPHAT) http://www.analyticalultracentrifugation.com/sedphat/download.htm

There are new exciting features in SEDFIT:
-> computationally account for time-offsets and boundary distortions from slow absorbance scanning of SV data
->  user-interface to HYDROPRO
-> rotor speed recommendation for SE experiments as a calculator function (including minimal time to equilibrium)
-> general scaling law for c(s)
-> bimodal frictional ratio model [(f/f0)1 and (f/f0)2 for bimodal boundary data] combined with extra discrete species [for buffer offset signals]
-> integration of particle size distributions from DLS analysis
->  user-defined time-interval for fit updating

Important new features of SEDPHAT since the last release are:
-> partial-boundary modeling (i.e., constrain SV analysis to non-overlapping radial regions of data points reporting about a certain s*-range)
->  three-site binding models
-> new data type for competition surface binding data (SPR)
-> allow optional concentration correction factor for isotherm analyses
-> computationally account for time-offsets and boundary distortions from slow absorbance scanning of SV data

In addition, several minor bugs were fixed and functions for increased user convenience were added in each program.

Please let me know if you encounter any problems or have any suggestions.
Best regards,

Peter Schuck
