Dear Colleagues,

This is an announcement for the next UltraScan seminar, which will take
place on Thursday, 10/4/07 at from 11 am - 12 pm Central Daylight Time.

During this session I will highlight several important changes in
UltraScan, and demonstrate a new feature in the LIMS portal which allows
constrained molecular weight fitting of velocity experiments using
the 2-dimensional spectrum analysis and genetic algorithm analysis.
There won't be time for user-supplied data analysis this time around,
please hold off until the November session, or contact me off-line.

PLEASE NOTE:

As of last July's session, we have migrated from AccessGrid 2.4 to
AccessGrid 3.0. Please upgrade your client software to version 3.0
since the 2.4 version will no longer work. If you are connecting via
unicast, please make sure to use the UTHSCSA bridge available under
"Tools". Please test your connection well in advance of the session to
make sure your new setup works. We have new AG help documentation on
our website under "Resources":

http://www.accessgrid.uthscsa.edu

The seminar will take place in the UltraScan room in the 3.0 venue server
of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. The
venue address for the UTHSCSA Lobby is:

 https://ag1.v19.uthscsa.edu:9000/Venues/default (AccessGrid 3.x)

All participants will need the AccessGrid toolkit version 3.0 and a VNC
viewer to participate. Please see the instructions for the setup of VNC
viewer (http://www.tightvnc.com) and the AccessGrid software at:

 http://www.accessgrid.uthscsa.edu

There will be a 1 hour testing time - 10-11 am central time. Please
contact Jeremy Mann at jeremy at biochem.uthscsa.edu or 210-567-2672 for
assistance. I recommend to test out your AccessGrid connection one or
two days in advance of the meeting if you have never set it up before.

See you in the AccessGrid, -Borries
