We have an opening in our group for a senior research associate (BS/MS)
that has some biophysical training and is interested in therapeutic
antibodies.

Job Description
You will be responsible for antibody characterization, method development
and analytical support for biologics development using a range of
biochemical and biophysical methods.
Skills/Experience Requirements
Demonstrated ability to perform protein characterization and method
development including: 1) Experience in spectroscopic analyses of protein
structure/function, examples: UV, CD, Fluorescence, NMR, HPLC techniques,
and mass spectrometry. 2) Experience in methods of analysis of the
relationships between protein solubility, aggregation state and solution,
co-solvent/buffer compositions, 3) Familiarity / experience with
analytical ultracentrifugation, static and dynamic light scattering,
field-flow fractionation, protein calorimetry and capillary
electrophoresis. The successful candidate will be able to independently
develop new methodologies and interpret results. The applicant should be a
highly self-motivated individual and possess excellent communication
skills in oral and written forms.
BS with 5 + years or MS with 3+ years of relevant experience in biology,
biochemistry or analytical chemistry with extensive experience in protein
biochemistry, biophysics and immunology. Demonstrated ability to perform
protein characterization and method development using chromatography,
electrophoresis (gel or capillary). Knowledge and hands-on experience in
mass spectrometry (MALDI, LC/MS) is a big plus. The successful candidate
will be able to independently develop new methodologies and analyze
results. The ability to multitask is essential.
