Dear RASMBers and SEDFIT Users,
registration is now open for the

Workshop On Hydrodynamic and Thermodynamic Sedimentation Analysis With
SEDFIT and SEDPHAT for the Characterization of Biological Macromolecules in
Solution

which will take place from February 28-March 2, 2006 at NIH, Bethesda.

It will cover experimental and data analysis strategies for using
sedimentation equilibrium and sedimentation velocity to characterize
protein size-distributions and reversible interactions. Other techniques,
such as dynamic light scattering, ITC, and general isotherm analyses will
be discussed, as well. The workshop consist of sessions on theory of
sedimentation, jointly practicing data analyses of examples on your laptop,
and discussions of data and systems provided by the participants. Prior
experience with analytical ultracentrifugation is strongly recommended.

For novices, a one-day introductory workshop on basic AUC concepts will
take place in the lab on February 27, 2006. This includes the practical
demonstration of assembling cells, setting up the run, and first practice
in data analysis.

A detailed description and how to register can be found on

Happy Holidays,
Peter
