[RASMB] ANNOUCEMENT: Analytical Ultracentrifugation Workshop

Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce our 3rd annual Analytical Ultracentrifugation
Workshop in San Antonio, Texas. Please mark your calendar for June
27-29, 2005.

The workshop will be presented at the University of Texas Health
Science Center in San Antonio. There is limited space available, so
please register early. The registration deadline is June 7th, 2005.
The focus of this year's workshop is on problem solving with the
analytical ultracentrifuge.

The workshop will offer two sections: The first section will be
dedicated to a review of sedimentation theory, experimental design,
and applications in sedimentation analysis. Hands-on training with the
UltraScan data analysis software will be offered, and participants will
be able to analyze sample datasets from the CAUMA laboratory and bring
their own data for analysis with expert assistance.

The second session will focus on instrument issues: how to detect and
diagnose instrument problems with the optical systems, how to maintain
and calibrate the machine and how to assure optimal performance by
the XLA/XLI.

We will again broadcast the entire workshop on the AccessGrid over 
the Internet to allow remote participation.
