Postdoctoral Scientist (two positions), Phosphorylation-Dependent Signaling Division
ACADEMIC-RELATED RESEARCH STAFF GRADE IA: Salary £18,893 - £28,279 p.a.

The Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC) is an international collaboration of British and Canadian scientists whose primary objective is to determine the 3-dimensional structures of proteins associated with human disease and release them into the public domain (public databases). The SGC in Oxford is embedded within the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine and will be initially housed in the Botnar Research Centre at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. The SGC in Oxford is seeking two postdoctoral scientists to work within a small team to develop and complete rapid screening of target proteins with the aim of improving the stability and properties of monomeric proteins as well as protein complexes using classical biochemical and biophysical techniques. Applicants should have a Ph.D. and a very strong background in protein chemistry, in particular protein purification and characterisation techniques. Further details and an application form are available from web page: http://www.jr2.ox.ac.uk/ndm/jobs1.htm or alternatively E-mail: personnel at ndm.ox.ac.uk; or Tel: 01865 221325 quoting reference: HB/04/045/SGC.
