A buffer containing NaF (0.1 M) and 5 mM sodium phosphate NaPO4, pH 7, had been
used for equilibrium runs. However, It is advised that one cleans the cell
components right after the experiment.

Dear Fumio and colleagues,
I have an "Technical Information" MD-0192-5-DT from Beckman
instrument (2 pages long), there is written:
first the Head line >> Choice of Appropriate Buffer<<
>> Dilute phosphate buffers with 0.1 M NaFl aas the neutral salt
have an acceptable low absorbance down to about 210 nm,.....<< (copied
word by word ....ariel).
I never used and also don't know if NaF as you wrote or NaFl
as Beckman wrote it ,
is the same.
Fumio, if you like I can fax you the bulletin give me your fax N°..
.....ariel
