Travel Arrangements:
By air
The nearest airport is Heathrow. It is best to catch a coach to Oxford from here which will take about 1 hour. Coaches are every 30-45 minutes and run 24 hours a day. A regular service is operated by National Express, which departs from the Central Bus Station direct. For prices, reservations and details contact:

Bus and Coach Traveline: +44 (0)990 747 777.
Or use the National Express website: http://www.gobycoach.com.

The cost for a one-way journey will be around £15. The coach goes to Gloucester Green Bus Station in Oxford. From there to the college it is a 5 minute walk. A map can be found at:
http://web.comlab.ox.ac.uk/oxinfo/maps/oxford.html.

By Train From abroad:
Eurostar will bring you into Central London at Waterloo Station. From here, catch the Underground using the BAKERLOO line (http://tube.tfl.gov.uk) to Paddington Station. Trains to Oxford can be caught here. All train journeys in the UK and advanced ticket booking can be made from http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/. Book your ticket well in advance as it is around 20% of the price of buying the ticket on the day.

By Car
It is generally assumed that you will have a UK roadmap if you are coming by car. For those that don't, from the ferry ports head for London, round the M25 till the M40 turnoff (just by Heathrow Airport), and Oxford is approx. 40 minutes up the motorway. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GO INTO CENTRAL OXFORD BY CAR! Use the park and ride facilities around the city. These are signposted from the motorway. The charge is c.a. £3 a day,

Arrival at College
If you plan to arrive at an unusual time (i.e sometime in the early morning), please let us know so we can alert the college.

Facilities
The conference will be held in St. Aldates Church Rooms, next to Pembrooke College. Facilities for Powerpoint presentations, slides and overhead projections will all be available. Feel free to contact us if in doubt.
