We are seeking an individual to join the Analytical Characterization Group
within pharmaceutical sciences. Our group focuses on characterization of
protein pharmaceuticals, such as protein primary structure analysis,
protein sequencing, peptide mapping, disulfide linkage determination,
carbohydrate profiling, protein degradation and modification
characterization, protein conformation and stability analysis, and protein
aggregation study using techniques such as HPLC, mass spectrometry, LC-MS,
MALDI-Tof MS, CE, cIEF, CE-LIF, laser light scattering and analytical
ultracentrifugation. The candidate will be primarily responsible for the
developing and executing methods of protein characterization using
analytical ultracentrifugation and laser light scattering. The candidate is
also expected to develop and run other characterization methods as
mentioned above. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative
environment, contributing characterization data to support the protein
development and the filing of IND/BLA.

Requirements: A Ph.D. degree or equivalent in biochemistry, analytical
biochemistry or a related discipline. A strong background in protein
chemistry, protein structure, protein conformation and stability, static
light scattering, quasi-elastic light scattering, sedimentation
equilibrium, and sedimentation velocity is required. Experience with HPLC,
mass spectrometry and CE is desirable. The candidate should have excellent
