[RASMB] Residuals and Weighted Fits???

Peter,
I believe the statistic that is returned with a weighted fit of absorbance
data is really the reduced chi-squared value. In the newer versions that
work with Origin 6.0 I think it gets labeled correctly, but in earlier
versions I think the label calls it "variance".
The software is documented in the training manual given out at the Beckman
workshops in Palo Alto.

Hi -
can anyone tell me what the residuals are that are determined when
using the Beckman software and a weighted fit. They certainly don't
appear to be simple absorbance units. The second related question
would be: Is any of this documented anywhere
Thanks
Peter
