<strong>Job Outline: <br>
</strong>To work in a team of multidisciplinary scientists on a research project directed towards the biomolecular and biophysical characterisation of protein-based molecules.<br>
<strong>Responsibilities</strong>:<br>
Using the latest analytical ultracentrifugation techniques, examine the biophysical characteristics of protein-based molecules.<br>
Take responsibility for accurately recording experimental data.<br>
Performing in depth analysis of experimental data. This will include graphical / statistical analysis using appropriate software (Microsoft Excel/ etc.)<br>
Preparing data for publication, assisting with publication preparation<br>
Liasion with the other researchers working on this and other related projects.<br>
Contributing to the generation of experimental data for research manuscripts as well as assisting with the preparation and writing of such manuscripts<br>
Assisting with the preparation of grant applications<br>
To attend and present research findings at research group <br>
Attending group research meetings and producing written reports as required<br>
Acting as bench supervisor for students as appropriate (PhD, MSc)<br>
Assisting with the induction, training and supervision of PhD students<br>
Assisting with the preparation of research reports<br>
Following the approved School safety procedures for safe working in laboratories<br>
Other duties appropriate to the grade and role of the person appointed.<br>

<strong>Qualifications/ Education</strong> PhD (or be near completion of) and postdoctoral experience in biophysical biochemistry (or equivalent)

<strong>Skills/Training<br>
</strong> Experience in investigating the biomolecular and biophysical properties of proteins. Expertise in analytical centrifugation, SEC-MALLS and viscometry.<br>
<strong>Experience<br>
</strong> Experience and a proven track record of high quality research in a similar environment
<br>
<strong>Personal Attributes</strong> Excellent communication skills, both oral and written<br>
Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks<br>
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team <br>
