[RASMB] Helmut Cölfen

Dear all

The field has truly lost one of its greats – his Google Scholar H-index<https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=wmeo34cAAAAJ&hl=de> is out of this world -  and only yesterday he was teaching his students at Konstanz.
Here is a nice picture taken by Vlad Dinu of Helmut – with Olwyn Byron and Trushar Patel – at the AUC Meeting at Lethbridge last year

Helmut was guest Editor of a Special Edition of Macromolecular Bioscience to commemorate the anniversary: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/mabi.201000201
At next year’s AUC meeting at Bad Staffelstein in Germany I am hoping we can make a special tribute to his life and works.

Helmut – a Huge Thanks from the field … although we’ll have to find someone else now to sort out the Beer and Crisps at meetings 😊
