Dear AUC community,
It was great to see many of you in Glasgow recently at the AUC2017 conference. Thanks to Olwyn for putting on a fantastic meeting. The next meeting - the 24th International AUC Conference (AUC2019) - will be held in Christchurch, New Zealand.
I would like to canvass your availability for two potential dates in 2019 that are most amenable to hosting AUC2019 at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, where the workshops & Symposium will be held.
The first date (Feb 4-8th, 2019) is at the end of the 2018/19 summer in the southern hemisphere and a great time to visit the Canterbury region—warm, settled weather. It also provides the opportunity to attend the famous 40th Lorne Conference on Protein Structure & Function, which is held in Lorne, Australia (scheduled Feb 10-13, 2019, http://www.lorneproteins.org/).
The 2nd date (Aug 24-28th, 2019) is at the end of winter/beginning of the spring in the southern hemisphere and is also a great time of the year to visit Canterbury.  This would link up with a Queenstown Molecular Biology Conference, which is held in the picturesque Queenstown, New Zealand (scheduled for 29th and 30th August, 2019, http://www.queenstownresearchweek.org/).
