[RASMB] computer settings for XL-I

Hi Virgil-
You need to make sure the PCI bus does not 'power down' if the computer goes into screen saver mode. Also, there was a setting for the COM port that needed to be set properly (can't remember what it was) in order to prevent communications from being lost.
Some of the old RASMB threads will have the answer.
Cheers-
Tom

Subject: [RASMB] computer settings for XL-I

Greetings,

We recently had to swap out the Win95 computers running our XL-I's with 'new Win95 computers.' We have the original CCD camera system for the
interference optics and the image is captured with the 'new computers.' However, while the program says it is scanning, it stops collecting data
after a random number of scans. Does anyone have any information on settings on the computer such as an interrupt settings or something else that
needs to be changed to keep communication going between the software, the computer and the instrument?

Thank you in advance,

Virgil
