Hello RASMB,

AUC Cell Housing Keys

Due to the extreme mechanical stress caused in assembly and normal
spinning of AUC cell assemblies, as well as stress caused by thermal
cycling cells it is not unusual for the cell alignment key to come out
of the housing. During manufacturing, cell housing keys are glued into
the housing keyway with a high performance epoxy. Care must be taken
when gluing/re-gluing keys into housings to ensure the surfaces are
prepared correctly to accept the glue. Only epoxy should be used because
of the vacuum environment.

Because cell alignment keys do occasionally come loose, any customer who
purchases cell housings from Spin Analytical can return them to have
them repaired. During the repair we inspect the cell housing and key for
damage. If the key is damaged we will replace it with a new key.

Thank you and warm regards,

Kiara Jordon
