As far as I remember there is no driver needed. The card will show up as an unrecognized hardware in the WindowsXP hardware manager, however the Beckman Software recognizes the device itself just fine.

You tried a short remedy. You need to call Beckman to load the drivers. The factory loads special drivers not on the CD’s that attach to the firmware of the CPU board and your new motherboard doesn’t have them. Make Your Day Great!!!

Subject: [RASMB] PC problem Dear colleagues,

We are using XL-I Beckman centrifuge. Recently our IBM computer (Windows XP ) connected to the centrifuge had broken down. We have reinstalled the frame grabber card (Altera FLEX 8000 Device) from the old PC to the another one, also under the Windows XP. The problem is that it doesnt recognised by the PC and we dont have any special drivers for it. The version of the XLI software we have is 4.5. Can anyone is recommend something?

Best regards

Igopr
