Hi all-
Mariusz Kozik (kozik at canisius.edu) at Canisius College (near Buffalo NY)
is in need of an XLA nearby him. His samples consist of transition-metal
substituted polyoxotungstates in nonpolar solvents as potential
catalysts for carbon dioxide reduction. His group’s first and latest
publications in this area were, respectively, /Inorg//. Chem./ 1998,
4344-4352 and /J. Phys. Chem./ /B/ 2006, 10576-10580. To complete a
project he needs to determine molecular size and/or mass for particles
with diameter 1-10 nm and molecular mass 5-20 kDalton. The one caveat is
that his samples are in anhydrous toluene, which means he needs access
to a dry box for sample manipulation. Our chemistry building is
undergoing renovation, and the dry boxes are stored away for the next
several months.
Is there anyone in the Northeast US who is willing to help Mariusz out?
Best wishes,
Tom
