Dear Folks,

Does anyone have experience with an un-install and then a re-install of
the ProteomeLab software? Also, is it possible to wipe the hard drive
and do a fresh install using the "included discs" without going through
Beckman? I don't currently have a service contract on the instrument,
but this is definitely a PC problem: infected at one point with Korgo V
and even though the files are supposedly quarantined, I'm seeing
evidence of corruption.

Oh, and in advance:

1) NO the PC has NEVER been networked
2) The Korgo V worm showed up about 1 month after installation (XL-I
upgraded to Proteome lab) and on its 2nd run.
3) The PC was purchased through Beckman as part of the package so do not
know it's "history"
4) I have access to some pretty potent PC wizards

Thanks!

Barbara
