Dear All,

For the first time, this years Biomolecular Interactions and Methods Gordon Research Conference will be preceded by a special 2 day Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) focusing upon students and post doctoral scientists in Galveston, Texas on January the 16-17th. The scientific focus of the seminar and conference is to explore the role of protein structural mobility in biomolecular interactions and the dymanics of protein interactions themselves.

The aim is to create an informal atmosphere where a diverse range scientific ideas and experimental problems can be shared in an open and friendly environment. The seminar looks set to be very exciting with a keynote address by Professor Carlos Bustamante (Berkley) and two scientific sessions with speakers selected from submitted abstracts and a career advice panel, with representatives from both academia and industry. The GRS will also feature a lively poster session and social events. We still have places available and hope that more young scientists will take the opportunity to network with their peers and interact with several prominent scientists in a relaxed and non-intimidating setting. Abstract submission deadline is December 27. More information can be found on the GRC website:

We look forward to seeing you in Texas!
