[RASMB] WG: AUC 2009 conference - 125th Svedberg Anniversary Abstract submission deadline of 1.6. is close

Dear colleagues and friends,

 

I'm sure you know about this year's very special AUC conference in Uppsala marking the 125th anniversary of Th. Svedberg. This meeting takes place in Uppsala, Sweden, from Sept. 16-19, 2009, right at the place where The Svedberg worked. Sept. 16th will be a very special day since it will lead us back to the roots of our favourite technique in a unique AUC history session (for confirmed speakers see http://auc2009.uthscsa.edu/historical.php) and a visit to The Svedberg's Ultracentrifuge Museum and to The Svedberg Laboratory. The conference itself will then take place on 17 & 18.9. For a detailed schedule, please see http://auc2009.uthscsa.edu/schedule.php. Please do not forget to register in time and submit your abstract until:

 

1 June 2009

The reason is to allow the organization and scientific committee to select the best talks for the conference. If you like to publish your contribution, there will be a special conference issue for this conference in Macromolecular Bioscience  (IF > 2.8; http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/77002860/home) The limited publication slots will be allocated by the scientific committee (see http://auc2009.uthscsa.edu/committees.php)

 

As in previous years, the conference will be preceeded by workshops teaching the use of powerful and free data analysis software. Please have a look at (http://auc2009.uthscsa.edu/registration.php). We are looking forward to see you all at a very unique conference in the history if AUC.
