If you heat the epoxy to 200 C or so, the epoxy should be soft enough to
pull the pin out without damage. A heat gun should work.

Best of luck

Subject: [RASMB] Salvaging a key way guide pin

Hi all,
Anyone on list have any experience removing a key way guide pin? I
have a damaged cell housing that I want to salvage. I've tried dissolving
the epoxy with methylene chloride to loosen the pin, but to now avail. I'm
not concerned about damaging the general cell housing if I can keep the pin
intact. If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

Thanks,
